The last show in the first semester

This week B day had a amazing show that got aired. It was also the last show for the first semester. Also I hope next year I really would like to be partners with Joanna for our VO's.

Media this week was so much fun. But I was running around like crazy just to get everything done in time for the show. Lucky for me the show aired.

11/19/10 news

well this news cat for Bday was really good but it did not air through the school. This is only because our instructor was on a shoot and made us figure every thing out. Luckily I was there to supervise over them. I was giving the producer and director hints and ideas on to structure they crew. So they could air that day. They were listening but the editor and audio members are divas and want to make the news a Soap Opera. With every music where it dose not need to be and making every single detail picture perfect. Even though me and the Producer and Director kept telling them to just leave the show how it was so we could record it and show it on air. These two members do not how to work as a strong but structured team yet, and I do not know if they will be able to accomplish this goal by the end of the year. if they do they will have proved me wrong and totally change my point of view towards this news crew!

Time is not on my side

Time is not a editors friend. It rushes the editor to throw things together and be cranky and whine about every little detail. It always bites you in the butt and makes everyone run around like crack heads. Trying to get every thing in order to be broadcasted out to the public. So let me refrase my tittle it should be. Time Is On No Ones Side!

 I love to do openings for the media academy news. They are so much fun and that's where most of my creativity comes out. even though everyone uses my mini DV tapes in both A and B day classes. I'm gonna start charging people to use them. What do you think Mr. Irving? would I be competition for you?

Just another day in the studio

 This week I helped the B- Day news cast shoot the A- Day news cast. I also shot the behind the scenes video of this news cast. Let me tell you that those huge news cameras on your shoulder hurt like the dickens. Then again I was holding it for 10- 20 minutes at a time. I think I like the Sony PD170's weight better than those news cameras.  Now comparing the two for their picture quality I would use the huge news cameras that weigh a ton than the PD170's in a heart beat.

  For what I know now news is a team work of  people dedicated to telling the people of the world what is going on in the their environment. where if you don't have a fully operated  team that is devoted to news. The work environment of the studio/ station can be crazy with people running all over the place doing more than there specific job requirement. Other than that news is fun and outgoing its a new adventure and story to tell every day.
